As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Austin Market Float Pool, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care. You will be responsible for directing, monitoring, and evaluating the care delegated to non-licensed personnel on the team.
Austin Market Float Pool (AMFP) employees are required to float to all St. David’s HealthCare System Facilities. AMFP nurses will be scheduled in units in which they have competencies and can be placed in a unit below their competency level with a modified assignment.
Market Float Pool RNs are scheduled in accordance with the Staffing and Scheduling- Nursing, RN Floating - Healthy Workplace Environment (HWE), and Attendance policies. Requirements of RN unit-based, facility-based, or system-based pools are based on which pool they are in.
Hours:
Full Time: Minimum of 36 hours per week. Two weekends (or four-weekend shifts) per 4-week scheduling period is required. The weekend is defined as Saturday and Sunday.
Holiday Requirements:
One Major holiday for the first half of the year (January-June) and one Major holiday for the second half of the year (July-December). One Minor holiday for the first half of the year (January-June) and one Minor holiday for the second half of the year (July-December).

Floating:
Market Float Pool employees will be required to float to all St. David’s Healthcare System Facilities. Market Float Pool Nurses will be scheduled in units in which they have competencies. Market Float Pool Nurses can be placed in a unit below their competency level with a modified assignment.
What qualifications will you need:
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state, and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
