Job Summary and Qualifications

The Sepsis Program Coordinator shares responsibility for coordinating program development in conjunction with clinical leaders to ensure objectives, outcomes, and goals are achieved.   • You will demonstrate a high level of clinical competence that creates an environment of clinical excellence resulting in improved individual and group clinical outcomes.
  • You will facilitate individualized, evidence-based, highly effective care to patients and families through coordination/collaboration of the entire healthcare team.
  • You will collect and analyze data surrounding the sepsis patient to assist with documentation, coding, clinical care, and outcomes.
  • You will be responsible for program development, performance improvement of the service line, and staff and physician education and training. 
  • You will take on other responsibilities as determined by the Quality Vice President to support the hospital’s quality and patient safety program.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN required, MSN preferred
    • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Nevada
    • Current certification in BCLS and ACLS
    • Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience required
    • Minimum of three (3) recent years of experience in critical care, preferably in ICU or Emergency Department, with a solid grasp of hemodynamic physiology related to the septic patient
    • Knowledge of critical care, critical care protocols, and infection control Prior experience in Infection Prevention or Performance Improvement/Quality preferred

      This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
