Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

With oversight from the VP of Quality and supervision from the Director of Quality, the Stroke Program Manager organizes, directs and monitors the activities of the services provided in the Stroke population including daily management of the Comprehensive Stroke Program (Ocala campus) and Primary Stroke (West Marion campus). The Stroke Program Manager is responsible to ensure that all standards are met as required by DNV and ASA Get With the Guidelines program as well as monitors quality performance of staff and providers caring for these patients. Functions as a role model in the use of nursing process and plans, implements and evaluates new approaches to nursing practice utilizing evidence-based research. The Program Manager has responsibility to facilitate collaboration between interdisciplinary teams caring for patients exhibiting stroke symptoms. Manages the quality of clinical management, effective discharge planning and patient/family education processes. The Program Manager is also responsible for coordinating education sessions for staff as well as participate in community education events. Assures that all team members are adequately trained and competent to work with the stroke patient population.

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide support functions for all aspects of the stroke program
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to define, guide, and evaluate nursing practice in the provision of stroke care
  • Serve as a nursing consultant to other members of the multidisciplinary team as well as members of the community
  • Assume responsibility of accruing and evaluating new knowledge and skills in the area of stroke care
  • Provides support and education within the hospital and community
  • Acts as a resource and liaison for patients and families
  • Collaborates with other members of the hospital team to facilitate a multidisciplinary quality assurance review of the care of stroke patients

What qualifications you will need:

    • Associates Nursing Degree required; Bachelors preferred
    • FL RN Licensure required or obtained within 90 days of hire if licensed with applicable RN compact licensure.
    • 1-3+ years of stroke program experience required.

    This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
