The Chief MRI Technologist supervise the daily operations of the MRI Department and work with radiologists and technologists to perform diagnostic/interventional MRI scans and provide quality patient care.
Licensure from the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) is required.
Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and/or Computerized Tomography is preferred.
Technologist must be current with continuing education requirements.
CPR certification is required.
At least two years experience as a MR technologist is required.
Experience as a supervisor or coordinator is preferred.
Prior experience in a hospital/acute care setting is preferred.
Complete Understanding of MR methodology and equipment is necessary.
knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology is required.
Knowledge of MRI physics is required.
Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills
Venipuncture certification is required
