Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse performs maternal assessments and provides appropriate interventions for patients who range in age from menses to menopause. In addition to performing fetal assessments and providing appropriate interventions, you will also use appropriate interventions for OB pain management and perform/monitor OB anesthesia/analgesia to provide appropriate interventions. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!

• As an L&D Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate support of Lactation Services and perform Labor and Delivery surgical procedures
• You will communicate effectively with all members of health care team utilizing verbal and written skills
• You must respond to acute changes in unit and patient conditions
• Ensuring medications are administered according to hospital policy is a key responsibility
• Your role will demonstrate professionalism, accountability and commitment to nursing care in labor and delivery

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Preferred: At least one year of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
