As the Receptionist of Imaging Services, you will assist the Technologist in the care of patients in a safe and efficient manner. You will assure the highest degree of quality performance and patient care delivered to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations. What You Will Do In This Role:
Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients as they arrive in department, collecting all needed paperwork to process patient’s exams. This individual safely provides basic clerical duties such as patient check in, film checkout requests and faxing reports when requested. In all job duties it will be critical for the Imaging Clerk to demonstrate superior customer service skills. Dispatch transport request and transporters to runs. Communicate and monitor transports.
* Open to and actively seeks to improve and apply new skills.
* Trains new employees and students in learning department processes and protocols.
* Maintains departmental compliance logs.
* Participates in performance improvement processes.
* Exam orders: ensure all orders have the required 5 elements.
* RIS: Ensures orders are valid and entered appropriately, ensures ordering physician is correct, documents pertinent information.
* Greets customers, explains paperwork, wait times, exam delays, and reporting process.
* Answers telephones promptly, records and delivers messages, transfers calls.
* Record received outside images and release of images in Cerner.
* Assures patient demographics are correct in MagView.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
* Two years of clerical experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
* Intermediate computer skills
