Job Summary and Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the pharmacist to accurately review and interpret medication orders, and review patient profiles for appropriate medication usage, allergies, and potential interactions. The pharmacist will efficiently and accurately perform other professional duties including procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and maintenance of the security of medications per requirements of facility policies and regulatory agencies. TriStar Centennial Medical Center expects the pharmacist to perform and appropriately document clinical interventions, assist with training and education of staff, and support the policies, procedures, and goals of the Pharmacy Department and the facility.

What qualifications you will need:

• BS or Pharm.D. degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with other members of the healthcare team
• Tennessee state licensure as a Pharmacist.
• BLS Required within 6 months of hire – current employees must obtain by 7/31/15
• ACLS Required within 9 months of hire – current employees must obtain by 9/30/15
• PALS Preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
