We are offering $15,000 sign on bonus for a limited time; 1 year RN Experience required. Current HCA employees not eligible.

Johnston-Willis Hospital performs more da Vinci® robotic surgeries than any other single facility in Central Virginia and is the first in Virginia to be designated as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery (COERS) by the Surgical Review Corporation.

 

Additional surgical specialties include:

 

Thoracic, colorectal, general gynecology, gynecological oncology, general surgery, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), urology, and urogynecology, neuro surgery, plastics, outpatient surgery and orthopedic Surgery.

  • 16 Operating Rooms
  • Nurses are responsible for the overall care of the patient throughout the peri-operative time period.
  • On average, 800 patients are seen monthly

Education: 

  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) 
Licensure/Certifications:
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or current Multistate Compact License(required)
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Health Care Provider (required) 
  • Ability to show active OR experience or completed a certified Peri-Op 101 program or currently enrolled in a Peri-Op 101 program (required)
Experience:
  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (required) 
  • 1 year or more of nursing experience in the OR (preferred)
Hours:
  • Full-Time
  • 8-Hour Shifts
  • 72 hours every pay period (every two weeks)
  • Weekend and Holiday On Call rotation
