HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, located on Florida's Emerald Coast, seeks a Lead Clinical Rehab Specialist to join our Inpatient Rehab Team! This position is located in Destin, FL.
JOB SUMMARY
HCA Florida Northwest Rehabilitation Center is located in a newly renovated facility offering all private rooms, larger areas for rehabilitation, and an upscale dining area. HCA Florida Northwest Rehabilitation Center completed an expansion in September 2018 and includes adding 10 new private rooms for a total of 30 where we provide personalized care. Additionally, there are four bariatric equipped rooms, an expanded physical therapy gym, and an outdoor therapy garden.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
·Demonstrates clinical knowledge of rehab admission criteria, leading to appropriate identification of qualified rehab patients.
·Utilizes knowledge in managed care plans in the area and assists case management, CRS and patients by providing financial insight on coverage, copays, etc.
·Collaborates with the CRS team, Program Directors and Medical Director(s) to maximize relationships with external facilities in their communities (utilizing a hospital or division transfer center if available) that has created a new additional admission volume stream.
·Participates with Program Director, Regional Vice President, and AVP of Business Development of the HCA Rehab Services Division in screening and interviews of potential new CRS hires, making hiring recommendations as well as assisting with onboarding and training of new CRS staff.
·Communicates to patients the expectations and requirements for participation upon admission to the rehab program, including inpatient rehab and program features to patient and family members. Offers each patient and family a tour of the rehab unit; coordinating tour if unable to provide personally.
·Supports the mission and vision of the all HCA facilities in the Market. Understands and is committed to helping HCA facilities achieve its goals.
·Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
·Adheres to the HCA Code of Conduct and demonstrates ethical behavior as expected by our patients, colleagues and the community. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself.
