Job Summary and Qualifications

HCA Healthcare ITG

Job Summary:

The goal of the Third-Party Apps initiative is to govern, control, and manage third party applications for the HCA enterprise. The benefit of a cohesive enterprise process includes the ability to rationalize the appropriate application for each necessary business capability or area. As a result of this governance, applications that are no longer required will be decommissioned via a continuous review process.

The Senior Financial Analyst is will serve as a financial subject matter expert for the Third-Party Apps-related initiatives within Corporate ITG. This role will specialize in developing metrics and reports to calculate and challenge savings or avoidance associated with decommissioning Third Party Applications. The Senior analyst will leverage SharePoint Online to track and monitor submissions of Third-Party Application decommissions, and will leverage reporting from various sources, especially the ITG financial reporting tool and the Total Cost of Ownership tool, Apptio, to validate that cost savings submissions have been realized. The Senior Analyst will work closely with ITG Finance, Project Management, Product Owners and Managers, SMO leaders, and will interact with all levels of leadership within HCA Healthcare ITG.

The Senior Financial Analyst should possess strengths in quantitative analysis, creativity, and technical skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel, including Power Query, and Power BI. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

General Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert on metrics and cost savings or avoidance calculations associated with decommissioning software applications.
  • Challenges savings or avoidance submissions by HCA ITG Leaders in order to ensure a clear and accurate depiction of TPA efforts.
  • Leverages Decommissioned App Savings/Avoidance SharePoint form to begin the process of analyzing submissions, validating budgeted amounts, and authenticating true realized savings or avoided costs.
  • Develops reports to be leveraged by HCA ITG Leaders and others to track and monitor total savings and avoidance associated with TPA efforts.
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on all available reporting tools for the ITG Finance & Administration department, including (but not limited to) Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
  • Responsible for the development of any TPA financial reports, with a focus on ensuring new reports are created to be highly efficient, effective, and accessible.
  • Evaluates relevant reports and report processes for opportunities for Automation, and works with the various stakeholders to Automate reports wherever appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including Power BI and Power Query.

  • Fundamental knowledge of HCA Procurement and Billing processes.
  • Fundamental understanding of IT Infrastructure and the Healthcare Industry.
