Job Summary and Qualifications

The Unit Secretary performs clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the mission and values of Sky Ridge Medical Center. The unit secretary is responsible for greeting visitors at the control desk; answering telephones; scheduling add-on cases under the direction of the charge RN; maintaining clerical supplies and forms; and completing duties required for the daily operation of the unit. The unit secretary assists the Charge Nurse and Director of the OR with day to day duties and responsibilities as assigned. The unit secretary participates in department performance improvement initiatives. Unit Secretary demonstrates advanced skills and knowledge in OR operations, assisting charge RN in scheduling of urgent and emergent cases; staff assignments; and coordination of all departmental operations.

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare/admin role
• BLS certification

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
