Job Summary:

Seeking a Psychiatrist to join HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital located in the southwest area of Jacksonville, part of Florida’s largest healthcare system with over 11,000 physician colleagues.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified in Psychiatry
  • Have a current, or be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Florida -  not subject to any restrictions, probationary terms or conditions
  • No history of license to practice being revoked, restricted or suspended by any professional licensing agency in any state or jurisdiction
  • Have current, unrestricted DEA registration
  • Recent scholarly activity is a plus
Position:
  • Mix of outpatient and consult liaison duties to include some outpatient clinic and possibly some IOP/PHP coverage. 
  • No call
  • 7o/7o position
  • This is a supervisory role for residents in training
  • All patients seen first by the psychiatry residents
  • Staffing is 2 residents per day on average with 90” total allowed for new evaluations
  • Will work opposite one other physician on CL service and one other physician in private practice clinic (supported by a medical assistant)
