Job Summary and Qualifications

The First Assist to the surgeon during a special operation should be a trained individual capable of participating and actively assisting the surgeon to establish a good working team. The First Assistant provides aid in exposure; hemostasis and other technical functions, which will help the surgeon, carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified First Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assistant Program
• One year OR experience preferred
• OR Call required
• Work Schedule: PRN as needed
