Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services, the coordinator is responsible for facilitating and completing rehabilitation scheduling, administrative and clerical tasks, supervision of rehabilitation center reception staff, collaborating with related personnel of the outpatient program as well as assisting the director to assure the efficient operation of the outpatient program.

1. Responsible for the scheduling of all outpatient therapies.

  • Collaborates with physicians, clinicians, patients and clerical staff to assure effective and efficient delivery of service(s).
  •  Contacts patient with initial schedule and assures the patient has necessary information for admission to the department.
  •  Serves as liaison to clinical staff to communicate status of the patient and their scheduling needs.
  •  Supplies schedules in a timely manner to therapists with 95% accuracy.
  •  Updates schedules on a daily basis and distributes changes to therapists.
  •  Insures coverage of patients when therapist is absent.
  •  Coordinates scheduling of outpatient and radiology for specific procedures.
  •  Collaborates with medical system as needed to assure efficiency of operation.
  •  Complies monthly statistics on scheduling as required by the director.

2. Provides supervision and support of Rehabilitation reception staff.

  • Completes staff evaluations in accordance with review dates.
  •  Actively participates in the department development and its policies and procedures.
  •  Plays a key role in conflict resolution.
  •  Coordinates coverage for Rehabilitation reception desk.
  •  Oversees training of new staff.
  •  Conducts interviews for new hires and completes all paperwork according to policy and procedures.

3. Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Serves on various task forces and committees as appropriate.
  •  Promotes customer satisfaction as evidenced by meeting customer requirements in all services provided.
  •  Miscellaneous job duties as assigned by the director.

What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Graduate / GED
