Job Summary and Qualifications

To provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients utilizing the nursing process. The Emergency Department Technician (EDT) also is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said patient care.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate from an accredited school for paramedics or completion of Emergency Technician program.
  • Current Florida License as Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Current BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association; or agreement to obtain by completion of 6 months of employment.
  • Special Qualifications: Completion of Basic Arrhythmia course with a minimum of 16 hours of didactic instruction preferred.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
