Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide skilled perioperative nursing care to patients according to their individual needs and supervises associated personnel in related activities. Assist with surgical procedures in the scrub and circulating roles and supervises non-professional personnel in these areas. Assists in maintaining a safe aseptic environment. • You will be responsible for the general well-being of the patient during the operative period
• You will act as the patient advocate, reviewing operative permit to ensure correctness of procedure. Functions as a member of the surgical team
• You will supervise care of the OR suite and equipment to ensures cleanliness, sterility, operation and availability of all necessary supplies and equipment and assists in opening sterile supplies
• You will prepare patient physically, mentally, and emotionally for surgical procedure and anticipates patient care needs during the procedure
• You will maintain awareness of OR schedule to ensure patient flow. Ensure timely turnover of room for next case
• You will assist in department quality improvement activities
• You will perform scrub and circulating duties efficiently and in a professional manner. This includes assessing patient/physician needs related to supplies, equipment, and instrumentation

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Valid CA RN license in good standing
• Current BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Current PALS Certification required
• Current CNOR Certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)
