HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 422-bed acute care facility. HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is dedicated to providing quality, relationship-based care that promotes healing. The facility offers a number of specialty services including the Heart and Vascular Center, where the latest cardiovascular surgery and minimally invasive techniques are performed and The Women’s Center which includes a 22-bed neonatal intensive care unit.

Job Summary and Qualifications

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and monitor employees, departmental performance and staff development to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, timelines and regulatory requirements
  • Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies, initiates corrective action plans, and re-monitors results
  • Evaluate existing systems and processes and develops corrective action plans for service/quality trends identified Initiates changes and monitors for improvement
  • Ensure departments proactively respond to feedback from customers (internal and external) and implements improvement mechanisms to enhance the overall ability of the department to meet the customer’s needs for laboratory services

You should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience of supervisory level in a clinical laboratory setting is required.
  • 1+ years' of laboratory management experience in a clinical setting
  • Florida Supervisor’s license or the ability to obtain during interview process
Minimum 3 licensures in following specialty areas
  • Blood Bank/Immunohematology
  • Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Histology
  • Microbiology
  • Serology/Immunology

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
