The Patient Safety Analyst will provide statistical analysis, visual analytics, and reporting of data captured for various stakeholder groups within HCA’s Clinical Operations Group, with a focus on the Patient Safety Organization. The analyst will be expected to contribute to the design of statistical analysis plans, perform statistical functions and report findings to multiple constituencies. Applicant must have experience with statistical software and data visualization platforms, such as R and Microsoft Power BI, particularly in the areas of query writing and analytical processing.
In addition, the Patient Safety Analyst will need to query various databases using SQL. The analyst must be able to take direction for tactically appropriate data and information models, possess strong analytical and data extraction skills, have excellent communication skills [both written and verbal], have relationship building skills, portray a professional presence, and possess a proven track record of delivering high quality analytics results.
·Function as data expert within the Patient Safety Organization.
·Support Manager of Clinical Analytics with the design of analysis and/or reporting plans.
·Perform statistical programming, data analysis, and report writing.
·Query various databases using SQL.
Primary database platforms will be Teradata, SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Cloud
·Converts highly statistical numerical output results into easily-understood written form for display in PowerPoint slides, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets
·Ability to complete visual analytics in data visualizations platforms, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
·Performs a variety of tasks. Relies on extensive clinical, statistical and information technology experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree and one plus years related experience preferred
