Job Summary and Qualifications

The Regulatory Compliance Manager contributes to the organization's mission and vision by developing and maintaining overall subject matter and program expertise as it relates to regulatory compliance. This position serves as an integral role in the department by supporting the Customer Service Operations Division (CSO) with a comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations, monitoring changes, and by supporting and tracking adherence to laws that impact all service lines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, a strong commitment to stakeholder relationships, and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner is essential.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting multiple service lines within the CSO. 
  • Monitor various resources, listserves and communications to identify changes in state and federal regulations. 
  • Partner to review regulatory changes and understand the interpretation and recommendations from Legal Counsel to ensure compliance. 
  • Interact and foster positive professional relationships with effective diplomacy skills at all levels. · Collaborate with leadership to identify operational impacts of state and federal regulatory requirements. 
  • Manage, support and assist with decision-making (as appropriate and within the scope of Compliance) to ensure successful implementation and ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements. 
  • Ensure a standardized and consistent approach to regulatory compliance development, implementation, and adherence across the CSO. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure data integrity related to state and federal regulatory requirements, implementation and processes. 
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on all upcoming and ongoing projects and program efforts. 
  • Serve as an Advisor on questions related to complaint management (BBB, CFPB, Attorney General, Pre-Litigation, Litigation). 
  • Assist as needed with state agency audits, investigations, inquiries, licensing examinations, etc. 
  • Conduct Functional Standards, applicable assessments, and provide a summary of findings to compliance leadership. · Regularly reexamine components related to risk, auditing, etc. 
  • Identify and update resources impacted by regulatory change (policies, processes, etc.). 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum five years related experience required, preferably in healthcare regulatory compliance.

  • Relevant education may substitute experience requirement..

  • Credit Collections & Compliance Officer (CCCO) designation from The American Collectors Association (ACA) preferred.
