The staff speech/language pathologist is responsible for the evaluation, assessment and treatment of a wide variety of patients, including, but not limited to patients with: neurological, cardiac, and other medical conditions in the areas of acute, subacute, rehabilitation and out patient speech/language pathology. The staff speech/language pathologist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients with suspected speech, language, cognitive, communicative and swallowing impairments.
Education:
MS or MA Speech Pathology
Certification:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Language Speech & Hearing Association or Speech Pathologist
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Licensure:
State of Nevada Board of Examination for Audiology and Speech Pathology
Experience:
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a hospital or rehab setting CFY will be considered. Training or practicum in areas of aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, cognitive deficits, dysphagia neurological/disorders, cleft palate and voice disorders is required.
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
