We are seeking a Virtual Assistant Director Credentialing for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care. Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Assistant Director for the Credentialing Process Center, you will assist the Director in the management of compliance responsibilities for the Credentials Processing Center (CPC). You will coordinate efforts with HCA’s Medical Staff Services Departments (MSSDs), facility and division leadership, Clinical Operations Group (COG), and other CPC personnel to facilitate confirmation, communication, and escalation of verification information identified. You will also be responsible for ensuring a timely, effective credentialing process for initial appointments, reappointments, requests for additional privileges, and dynamic monitoring of key expirables for HCA entities supported by the CPC.

In this role, you will:

  • Direct and manage effective day-to-day operations of the credentialing functions through maintaining appropriate staffing levels and productivity to meet targeted service levels, turnaround
  • times, and satisfaction/quality levels.
  • Ensure high quality, timely, and accurate credentialing processes and support process standardization and optimization.
  • Direct and manage execution of assigned compliance responsibilities
  • Monitor flagging inventory to confirm timely processing and resolution of escalation backlogs
  • Work with Compliance Manager, as needed, with flag processing, communication, and monitoring to support timely flag administration
  • Administer HCA-selected credentialing and privileging software applications.
  • Ensure CPC compliance with HCA facilities policy and procedures, state and federal regulatory entities (e.g., TJC) and participate/assist with facility audits/surveys.
  • Coordinate efforts with facility and division partners to ensure timely resolution of identified credentialing file flags.
  • Maintain communication with other Compliance Leaders and team members to assure consistent processes are being maintained.

What qualifications you will need:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • At least 2 years of management experience required; Centralized credentialing/primary source verification office experience preferred
  • TJC certified organizational experience strongly preferred
  • Detailed working knowledge of the health care and credentialing industry, including medical-legal issues and laws, regulatory agencies, and other national standards preferred
  • NAMSS certified for CPMSM and/or CPCS preferred
