Job Summary and Qualifications

As a highly-skilled and compassionate OP Echocardiology RN you will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who are ready to take their career to the next level! In this role:

  • Assessment of Patients: Systematically and continually assesses the health and status of the patient assuring the applications of age specific standards prior to, during, and immediately after the procedure. Relates pertinent information.
  • Care of the Patient: In collaboration with the patient/family, and physician with regard to developmental, cultural and age specific differences, develops and implements patient care plans to include problems, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
  • Education of patient/family: Provides patient/family education with regard to assessing ability to learn, special learning needs, and evaluating effectiveness of teaching.
  • Leadership: Provides clear, concise and pertinent direction to the care team, based on resources, identified patient care needs, and nursing staff skill level. Documents critical incidents, uses time and supplies resourcefully, and functions as the charge person as needed.
  • Must successfully complete the hospital sedation analgesia module, or equivalent thereof, on an annual basis.

    What qualifications you will need:
    • Current nursing license in good standing
    • Associate’s Degree in nursing required, bachelor’s preferred.
    • One year Cath Lab, ICU or Emergency Room experience preferred.
    • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
    • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire

    This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
