Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an Associate Business Analyst who will conduct routine reporting and analytics using existing toolsets. This role is responsible for learning and facilitating proper validation techniques, executing periodic data quality audits, and monitoring existing data models. The Associate Analyst will also serve as Tier 1 support for triaging and routine requests from the field.

Your Team:

  • You will work directly with the Manager of Analytics who will be able to shepherd your learning, development and project execution
  • You will interact on a frequent basis with colleagues who have experience in the role and will be there to assist with any questions you may have. Your colleagues will have experience across broad subject matters to enhance your perspective on the projects you will be helping with
  • Your department leadership team are leaders in analytics for the healthcare industry with over 60 years of combined experience. Your leadership team has served in every capacity of your role and will be able to provide in depth insight into HCA and emerging analytic trends
  • Your team enjoys a flexible work arrangement with a hybrid work from home model

    Your contribution in this role:

    • With direction, gain a solid understanding of proper validation techniques.
    • With direction, learn the data model.
    • With direction, utilize basic SQL language skillset to troubleshoot and test reporting objectives.
    • With direction, present data formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding data outputs.
    • With direction, provide moderate analysis and ad hoc operational reports as requested.
    • With guidance, provide an in-depth "what if" analysis of data using available tools.
    • Execute data integrity/validation routines
    • Utilize problem-solving skillset to triage and solve fundamental business problems and issues
    • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to use data in improving usage and operational workflow
    • Use and support database applications and analytical tools, and evaluate data quality, applications, and workflow functions.
    • Format, execute, distribute, and interpret reports using the available tools.
    • Respond to requests for reporting using standard templates or pre-defined reporting
    • Intake, triage, respond and resolve Help Desk requests from users
    • Utilize a standardized and consistent approach relating to Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics
    • Execute routine production data processes

    Education and Experience we are looking for:

    • High school diploma required, Working toward an associate or bachelor's degree preferred
    • Experience 0-2 years
    • An aptitude for learning
    • Demonstrate basic BI tool competency
    • Demonstrate basic business acumen
    • Demonstrate basic Excel skillset
    • Demonstrate basic presentation skillset
    • Demonstrated oral, written, and technical communication skills required.
