Job Summary and Qualifications

Come and join our Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology teams with our Cath Lab Plus training program! We invite acute care experienced nurses to apply for this unique opportunity. The next program will begin on January 16th, 2023.

This Cath Lab training program is an 11 week to help prepare you for this specialty area of nursing. The number of open positions may vary but this cohort will be used to fill the following units:

• Cath Lab
• Interventional Radiology (IR)
• And Endoscopy

Part 1: Didactic and Skills Training – First 4 Weeks

• Instructor-led classroom training
• Simulation labs including comprehensive debriefs
• Certifications needed for each unit
• Training on charting systems
• The training schedule is typically Monday – Friday, with 40-hour work weeks (8hour days)

Part 2: Clinical Preceptorship – Next 7 weeks

• Conducted at the hospital in the unit you have been hired to
• You will be assigned a one-on-one preceptor to train you and acclimate you to your role
• Regular development meetings between you, the preceptor and you Director
• Customized Coaching/Onboarding report for clinical preceptorship
• The full time schedule for Cath Lab and IR is four (4) 8-hour shifts per week
• Call rotation is required

Qualifications: 

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
• Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year ICU or ED experience
• Must be licensed by the state of California prior to starting in the hospital.
• Independently maintains license
• BLS/ACLS certification required
• Self-motivated and strong communication skills required
• Attendance is imperative throughout the Plus training program

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
