The AVP of Sales oversees and works in conjunction with Area Sales Managers, Area Vice President (AVP), and local Home Health sales teams to direct and initiate effective sales strategies and techniques to meet or exceed sales targets for home health agencies within assigned areas. The AVP of Sales will be responsible for directly overseeing, developing, and monitoring sales and marketing processes and performance needed to support growth of the business and in alignment with divisional AVPs and/or overall company strategic plans. This position works closely with Business Development and Community leaders as well as the Area, Regional, and Division Vice Presidents (DVP) of Home Health.
What you will do in this role:
Successfully markets and positions home health programming within assigned territory.
Supports team in achieving and exceeding all established business goals internally and externally for the Area in which they are responsible.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the lead tracking/management system.
Plans and conducts sales meetings in collaboration with Area Sales Managers to inform, train, and motivate representatives as indicated.
Oversees the sales and marketing plans as well as the use of each agency’s marketing dollars to assure optimal exposure and maximum efficiencies.
Collaborates with Business Development and Marketing to ensure promotional plans support and drive category brand growth including ACO & Bundled Payment opportunities. Pulls thru goals, programs, and alignment with established business priorities.
Partners with Operations teams including DVP, RVP, & Home Health Directors to ensure alignment and partnership to support sales, clinical and financial goals and objectives.
Maintains a high level of knowledge of the industry and healthcare trends.
Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching of all Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers.
Reviews account sales, utilization, and trends via sales reporting to ensure optimum coverage of all customers and potential customers in conjunction with Area Sales Managers.
Conducts regular Sales Team collaboration sessions in conjunction with Area Sales Managers to identify and remove barriers to support business growth.
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business management, or related field from a four year college is preferred.
Ten plus years of experience in sales/marketing, with a minimum of 5years managing large sales teams (50+).
Expert knowledge of and experience with CRM platforms is required.
Experience in home health care is required.
Experience managing revenue targets over $100M required.
Experience designing and implementing analytics/dashboards, CRM platform, Onboarding and training programs required.
