Emergency Services Paramedic
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and ambitious paramedic to provide clinical support to patients of all populations. Our team is amazing, we consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. * You will contribute information to the assessment of the health status of Emergency Department patients
* You will participate with nursing staff in the development and modification of a patient’s plan of care
* You will assist nursing staff in implementation of plan of care and documents in patient’s chart, patient response to interventions
* You will provide for patient safety
* You will attends meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy
Requirements:
* EXPERIENCE
Required – Minimum of 1 year ER or comparable field experience.
Preferred – Minimum 3 years active field experience as released VA Medic (documentation required).
* EDUCATION
Required - Successful completion of a Paramedic training course.
* LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION
Required:
•Current Virginia Office of EMS Paramedic certification (or current equivalent)
•Prior to the start of employment, must have and maintain current AmericanHeart Association (AHA) Certifications as follows:
◦BCLS for Healthcare Providers
◦ACLS
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
