Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Perinatal Educator RN raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. The Perinatal Educator identifies the learning needs of a specific population of patients and staff, designs, coordinates and implements educational programs to meet those needs. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What You Will Do In This Role:

  • You will develop methods for ongoing education and evaluation of patient education programs specific to OB-GYN department, in collaboration with the Women’s Health Coordinator and Department Director.
  • You will develop educational programs with patient safety as the primary goal.
  • You will serve as a consultant or resource person for members of health care team to advance and individualize nursing care.
  • You will develop, implement, and revise individualized goal directed nursing care for a specific patient population through the use of the nursing process.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
  • National Specialty Certification preferred
  • BSN required or currently enrolled in a program
  • Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
  • Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association required
  • Must have at least one (1) year RN experience, in L&D, postpartum, or Mother/Baby in an acute care hospital
