The RN Operating Room Supervisor is responsible for decisions and actions within the domain of nursing practice. They provide leadership for service staff ensuring the quality and integrity of care delivered. Important aspects of this position include but are not limited to:

The promotion of a safe and therapeutic environment adhering to Safety Programs and Infection Control Programs
Demonstrates and promotes core values of accountability, leadership, willingness, attitude, "You First", and Safety
Promotes consistent, positive patient interactions and participates as an active member of the health care team
Reports daily department activities to OR leadership and serves as a unit leader
Coordinates staff and ancilliary staff assignments and deploys staff to other departments if able
Uses job knowledge and experience to assist in orientation of new employees as well as sharing ideas and knowledge with peers
Participates in unit based audits to ensure compliance with set policies and procedures
Circulates/scrubs in OR as needed and maintains excellent communication skills with physicians and other internal/external customers.
