Registered Nurse - Day Surgery DRMC

What you will do this role:
- The Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Out-Patient Unit is responsible for providing direct patient care to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with Medicaid and surgical needs that can be met in a short-term, non-acute, outpatient setting within the scope of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
- The nurse conducts nursing assessments, identifies nursing problems, plans and implements individualized and holistic patient care.
- The Registered Nurse provides supervision of the LVN, PCA, Unit Secretary, Orderly, and Student Nurses.

Education:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
What qualifications you will need:
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse
- 1-3 years critical care experience preferred
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required
