Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab
Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 631 bed Health Care System including Bay Area, Doctors Regional, The Heart Hospital, Northwest Regional, Bayview Behavioral Hospital, Northshore Emergency Center, Northwest Behavioral Health Center and Radiation Oncology at Corpus Christi Cancer Center.
What you will do in this role:

Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients experiencing cardiac intervention upon admission to the department

Supports the medical care of all patient requiring any cardiac or peripheral intervention under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the hospital

Keeps a complete Intraoperative record and is responsible for the patient during the pre-operative, intra-operative and immediate post-operative period

Ensures a safe environment for the patient and others, appropriately communicates with physicians, co-workers, volunteers, other hospital departments and patient family members

Responsible for delegating nursing tasks based on the needs of the patient and the knowledge and skills of the individual selected to perform such tasks

Have the overtime flexibility, be able to take call as prescribed and with a thirty minute maximum response time
What qualification you will need:
• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse
• Previous experience in Cath Lab prefered.
• Graduate form an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
