Position Summary

This position reports to: Director of Pharmacy

Under general supervision, and according to general policies and procedures, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the pharmacy clinical programs. This includes formulary management, policy and procedure development and education across the healthcare spectrum. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director or designee is unavailable.

Good Samaritan Hospital is a 474 bed acute care hospital in the heart of Silicon Valley, with two locations, the main campus in San Jose, California and the Mission Oaks campus in Los Gatos, California. We are a recognized leader in neurosciences, high-risk obstetrics, comprehensive cancer services, advanced cardiology, and innovative surgery techniques. Education:

Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE - accredited college of pharmacy

License/Certifications:

Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State of California Board of Pharmacy

ACLS Certification

BLS Certification

Completion of Hospital PGY-1 of pharmacy specialty residence preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist of one of the following.

Specialty BPS certification (i.e. BCCCP, BCPS)

Organization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectively managers resources

Other certifications (e.g. FCCP, FASHP) hospital pharmacy management experience, preferred

Interpersonal Skills - able to work effectively with other employees, patients, and external parties
