Here is some of what you can expect from being a Radiation Therapist with us:

  • You will perform and deliver a physician-prescribed radiation therapy treatment to patients
  • You will calculate proper machine settings
  • You will assist the physicians with patient care
  • You will assist with the preparation and process of special procedures such as IMRT, simulations, field modifications of devices
  • You will provide patient care information and evaluate patient’s physical and psychological status
  • You will know and utilize radiation safety techniques

Qualifications you will need for this role:

  • Current ARRT certification or registry eligible
  • Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC
  • Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology
  • Previous experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred
  • Must have strong communication skills in order to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong technical skills needed for daily patient treatments
  • Must be able to perform simulation procedures, cerrobend block design and daily treatments with minimal supervision
