Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for identification, investigation, analyses and evaluation of risks and the selection of the most advantageous method of correcting, reducing or eliminating identifiable risks. The Director of Patient Safety has been designated by the Chief Executive Officer to act as the Chair of the Patient Safety Committee facilitator of the Bio Ethics Committee and the Patient Grievance Committee. Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer the Board of Trustees and the Assistant Administrator.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare related field required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Clinical background required
  • Three to five years healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality preferred
  • Healthcare experience should be recent within a clinical setting such as Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.
  • Current Certification as Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)

  • Current Certification as Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM)

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
