Full Time - Clinic Nurse (8 hours/day - M-F) (No Weekends/Holidays)

EIRMC/Gamma West Cancer Services is the only radiation oncology facility in the state of Idaho that is accredited by the American College of Radiology. With oncologists, radiation oncologists and state-of-the-art equipment, our patients are sure to get the best diagnostic tests and treatments in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse at our facility you will be joining a team that strives to provide the very best patient care and compassionate customer service to every person they interact with. They also support one another and make it their motto to “care like family”.

In this role:

  • You will function as an integral member of the radiation oncology team.
  • You will provide professional, high quality clinical care and nursing consultation for patient/family education regarding treatment and side effects.
  • You will be responsible for assessing and providing the appropriate nursing intervention for the actual and potential problems that the patient and family may experience related to the disease process, treatment course, and follow-up period.
  • You will review doctor’s orders for medications to be administered and labs to be drawn and call in prescriptions as necessary.
  • You will formulate and coordinate patient’s plan of care based on assessment of patient needs.
  • You will function as a liaison between patient and physician, acting as a patient advocate and meeting the physical and emotional needs of patients and families.
  • You will establish coordination and communication of care for patients between inpatient and outpatient settings.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
  • 1 year of past employment experience as a RN

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center(EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318 plus patient beds. We serve as the region’s healthcare provider and serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park and parts of Montana. EIRMC is home to a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only emergency room in Idaho Falls. We have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. We offer inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults at its 74-bed Behavioral Health Center.
