Join our Team as a Registered Nurse Inpatient Rehab! Join the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit that provides intense, daily treatment, personalized therapy plans, and other specialized services for people who need 24-hour help, while they recover from surgery or illness. Patients that benefit from inpatient rehab care are those that have associated conditions, such as arthritis, brain injuries, strokes, congenital deformities or limb injuries, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, trauma, bone fractures, burns, and more. We provide a wide range of rehabilitative inpatient services and therapies, including:

  • Cognitive function rehabilitation to relearn and retrain your neurological skills
  • Occupational therapy to relearn skills of daily living
  • Physical therapy to strengthen and heal your muscles, heart and limbs
  • Speech, language and swallowing therapy to assist with speech and swallowing issues

You will work with innovative advanced technology, like gait training equipment for posture, interactive video gaming for balance and endurance, and “smart” PT equipment for independence. As an inpatient rehab RN, you will be an integral part of the team, along with therapists and physicians, to specialize in recovery, unique to each patient. Additional other associated team members include:

  • Case managers
  • Dietitians and nutritionists

  • Physiatrists

Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Rehab RN to join our team. We need a compassionate and reliable RN to provide care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adults in our patient centered care model. In this role you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
  • Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
  • Act as an advocate for patient safety
  • Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
  • Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
  • 1 year of RN experience in Inpatient Rehab setting is preferred
  • BSN is preferred
  • BLS, (AHA Healthcare provider) required
  • CRRN preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital. For 40 years, we have served Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care.
