CSC Pharmacist - Part-Time

Description

As a Pharmacist at our Consolidated Service Center (CSC), you will be responsible for oversight of the packaging and bar‐ coding operations and staff of the CSC pharmacy. You will assist in development of pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure all federal and state regulations are strictly adhered to, appropriate records are maintained and  all quality assurance validation occurs in accordance with Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

• Manages the SMART, PACMED, ConnectRX interfaces to ensure proper drug distribution to  CSC customers.
• Performs pharmacist check of packaged and bar‐coded pharmaceuticals as required; assures accuracy of all packaged and bar‐coded pharmaceutical products.
• Verifies accuracy of barcode and drug changes being communicated to facilities about bar‐code changes
• Assures all policies and procedures are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Actively works with federal and state officials to proactively develop necessary policies, procedures, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintains and validates operational performance of pharmacy packaging and bar‐coding automation technology.
• Develops the knowledge, skills, and the functional competency of pharmacy technicians involved in the packaging and bar‐coding operations.
• Trains and certifies the competency of pharmacy technicians involved in the performance of packaging and bar‐coding operations.

Qualifications

• BS or PharmD
• Five (5) years experience in Pharmacy preferred
• Pharmacy supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in acute care pharmacy preferred
• Pharmacy logistics experience preferred
• Current pharmacy license in good standing
