• Telemedicine technology with specific focus on stroke care and behavioral health
Our 11,000 square-foot Free Standing ER is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – offering expert, convenient care for the entire family including for the communities of Price George, Fort Lee, Colonial Heights and Petersburg. We have the capability to treat a range of emergencies from less complex cases like stitches and broken bones, to more life threatening emergencies like chest pain and potential stroke.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an enthusiastic Nurse Extern to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals! Our Nurse Techs work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care. You will deliver high quality, patient-centered care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. • You willwork closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care planby performing direct and indirect patient care under the direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care.
• Document observations, interactions, patient responses to performed activities and any physical or behavioral changes at time of occurrence.
• You will assist with patient mobility by regularly turning, positioning, and ambulating as well as transferring patients to and from other units/departments.
• Clerical duties include assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.

Requirements:

·Current enrollment in a Registered Nursing program with successful completion of a Nursing Fundamentals Course.

·Successful completion of at least one clinical rotation.

·American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider required.
