Job Summary and Qualifications

The Internal Audit Department provides an independent appraisal function to validate management control systems and to support corporate management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities and efforts to achieve the Company's overall mission. The Pre-Audit Coordinator position provides support to numerous Internal Audit Department personnel by providing various administrative duties and independently performing routine tasks, and serves as a department resource to promote a professional employee/client-friendly environment. This position may work with sensitive/confidential information.


RESPONSIBILITIES 

§ Assists in the preparation of information requests for various audit engagements.

§ Creates engagement packages based on review type, ensuring information requests correspond to review type.

§ Communicates with hospital executive personnel to clarify/coordinate information requests.

§ Coordinates internal/external audit information requests. Includes serving as the department’s liaison with EY.

§ Accumulates and distributes follow-up requests for delinquent report responses.

§ Assists with department SharePoint applications; serving as subject matter expert for questions, needs and troubleshooting activities.

§ Creates audit program packages and makes adjustments to data development programs based on analysis of information changes.

§ Updates training/reference materials as needed for various areas of related work as helpful for department use.

§ Maintains updated templates, questionnaires and other documentation as related to both the engagement process and the audit program.

§ Assists with new employee orientation training session, as needed.

§ Assists with the logistics of 4-5 annual training seminars sponsored by the Internal Audit Department.

§ Schedules logistics surrounding team meetings (i.e., reserving meeting space, selecting menu items), as needed.

§ Monitors departmental needs (e.g., adequate office supply levels, availability, and organization of all materials).

§ Monitors departmental copier and printer equipment to ensure equipment is operating appropriately and adequate supplies are maintained.

§ Assists in the set-up and updating of automated work paper (Teammate) audit files.

§ Assists with the proper disposal of confidential materials via professional shredding services.

§ Gains knowledge and serves as a resource for department employees (i.e., available to answer questions/address issues) in various areas including, but not limited to: timekeeping, maintenance requests, shipping materials, office supplies, and mail distribution.

§ Assists in the overall organization and resource availability of the Internal Audit Department.

§ Develops PowerPoint presentations and/or handouts for executive meetings, including the Board of Directors.

§ Assists with special projects or other miscellaneous duties for department personnel as needed.

 

PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS

§ Strong organization and project management skills

§ Effective communication skills (oral and written). Strong presentation skills

§ Self-driven and motivated for continuous improvement and satisfying customer needs

§ Skillful in creative product development/design and PowerPoint presentations

§ Must work with deadlines and related time pressure

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

§ Completed or working toward undergraduate degree

§ Travel required for off-site seminars (approx. 1-3 annually)

§ Occasional light lifting
