Job Summary and Qualifications

PRN MRI Technologist

We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis.  If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

As an MRI Technologist under the direction of a radiologist duties will include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment
• Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist(s)
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications

· Registered by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (MR)

· Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Department of Health - CRT

· 1 year previous experience as a MRI Tech (preferred)

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, computer, clerical skills

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
