SCHEDULE: Full-time


 

Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a 264 bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host of technologically advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and General Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Regional holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Get with the Guidelines- Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. County-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and certified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.

SCHEDULE: 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week)

 

SHIFT: Mixed with rotating weekends.

 
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision and according to established procedures, the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist II is responsible for performance of ultrasound diagnostic procedures, completing all measurements on ultrasound studies and reporting findings to physicians.
 

Qualifications

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

BCLS

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum: 6-12 months progressively more responsible work experience in a related setting

Preferred:  Medical terminology preferred

 

Didactic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia’s

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: 

Word Processing/Computer Skills and ability to transcribe 60 wpm

Strong analytical and Mathematical Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Is knowledgeable in all modalities of non-invasive cardiac testing including EKG, Holter, Treadmill and tilt table
