We seek a Emergency Services Concierge PRN for our center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high-quality, efficient care. The Emergency Services Concierge is a customer service focus role assisting all patients presenting to the Emergency Department for medical care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Assist patient/family with utilization of kiosk for arrival time capture
  • Identify patients that need emergency medical care based on patient/family voiced complaint
  • Assist family/significant others with locating patients in the hospital 

The position has no direct patient care; it does have the requirement to identify specific complaints and escort the patient immediately to a RN upon identification; and access to confidential medical records and organizational information as it relates to patient care

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED required. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent customer service skills and teaching abilities
  • Ability to identify customer service issues within the ED lobby and assist with the resolution of the problem
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Computer literate; have a working knowledge of Meditech
  • Work independently and is self-directed and motivated
