We are seeking a Manager of Neuroscience for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary:

  • You will facilitate the clinical care of stroke program patients to ensure all patients receive comprehensive and timely treatment/interventions that are consistent with clinical practice guidelines.
  • Your role demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of low and high risk neurological/neurosurgical patients.
  • You will collaborate with the Director Neurosciences, nursing and physician leadership to provide real time and structured education for staff.
  • You will collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team (PT, OT, Speech, Pharmacy, social worker, case manager, home health agency or other team members) to assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating care delivery for the patient population.
  • Your role collaborates with members of the quality department in data abstraction, analysis, outcomes reporting and identification of improvement opportunities with development and execution of actions to enhance quality of care to neuroscience patients.
  • You will make daily clinical rounds on all stroke patients to ensure compliance with evidence based core measures and care incorporating service and patient perception of care into daily rounds/visits.

The facility is equipped with 233 beds and offers a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation and emergency services. Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state
  • BSN required/Masters preferred
  • Current BLS, NIHSS, ACLS preferred, Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) certification required within 2-years of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience
  • Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians and other employees
