The Life of an HCA Nurse

 

Cath Lab nurses are experts at providing compassionate care and preparing patients undergoing various cardiac procedures such as catheterization and angioplasty. They have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able to stay calm under pressure.

 

About the Cath Lab:

• Procedures done in the cath lab range from but are not limited to diagnostic heart caths, interventional heart caths, TAVR, TMVR, watchman and cardiomems
• Opportunity to perform interventional procedures with Tulane's award winning Cardiovascular Services team
  
• This is a 13 week temporary assignment
• Opportunity to earn $75/hour plus shift differentials!

Responsibilities:

 Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Louisiana or Compact RN license required
  
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills required. Basic computer knowledge preferred
• Basic equipment and machine skills preferred
• Previous Cath Lab RN experience required (preferably 2+ years experience)

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
