An LPN is a vital part of the healthcare system and is responsible for providing patients with direct patient care. They also assist Registered Nurses and Doctors in keeping detailed records, maintaining clear communication between the entire care team and working with patients and their families to understand procedures and how to care for sick relatives.

Responsibilities:

The LPN is a professional nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery and management of patient care under the direction of the Physician or Registered Nurse.  S/he utilizes the nursing process, the healthcare environment, and current technology to provide a climate which optimizes patient care and staff development.

HOURS: Days 7am-7pm

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Licensure as a License Practical Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school preparing License Practical Nurses 
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS or PALS as required by the assigned area within 12 months of employment
